Valving tuned to the timed climb

A hillclimb packs broken tarmac, armco and hard braking into a few kilometres: the suspension needs usable travel to soak up bumps without losing grip, and support to resist dive and pitch on turn-in.

We don't work from a fixed catalogue. Each shock is valved around your car, its weight and the course, with adjustment to fine-tune between runs. Engineered and built in-house in Manresa, Spain, since 1994.

TSK high-pressure monotube design, serviceable and rebuildable — a Spanish alternative to Öhlins, Bilstein or KW, built to last the season.

/ Preguntas frecuentes

Dudas habituales

What kind of suspension do I need for hillclimb, and how is it different from a circuit setup?

A hillclimb mixes bumpy surfaces, blind crests and heavy braking with almost no margin for error, so we chase composure and grip rather than a flat circuit setting. At TecnoShock we start from a setup tailored to your car and this discipline, not a generic tune.

What travel and spring/damping stiffness are right for a hillclimb car?

It depends on the car, its weight, tyre and the profile of the climb, so we don't quote fixed travel or stiffness. We work it out case by case with our TSK high-pressure gas monotube damper, serviceable and repairable, to stay planted on load without losing traction over broken sections.

Does a hillclimb suspension need hydraulic adjusters?

Adjustment (compression and rebound, depending on the version) lets you fine-tune the car between different climbs and surface conditions. We define how much adjustability you need across our Race, Sport or Street Performance ranges based on your budget and regulations.

How do I order a custom hillclimb setup from TecnoShock?

Tell us the car, weight, tyre, the climb you race and your level, and we build the damper with a setup specific to hillclimb. We manufacture in-house in Manresa since 1994, so it's a serviceable TSK monotube tuned to your programme, not a fixed catalogue part.
